Programs
Nurturing the Wellness of Seniors
The Center for Successful Aging’s programs are designed to provide essential emotional support and guidance to seniors and their families that are in need in our community.
Overseen by our Clinical Director, our programs are implemented primarily by our trained and dedicated volunteers. They, like our clients, are seniors themselves and as a result have the understanding and compassion to help their peers navigate the many issues and challenges of aging.
Senior Peer-to-Peer Counseling
Senior Peer-to-Peer Counseling
Ongoing support and guidance is provided in seniors' homes or our counseling offices.
We offer confidential counseling services to seniors who are facing the challenges of aging. Trained and supervised volunteer counselors offer emotional support, guidance and empathy to people from the age of 50 years and up who may be facing the stresses of illness, loss of spouse or friends, isolation from family and friends, and other life transitions. Our peer counselors provide both compassion and support in weekly or bi-weekly counseling sessions. Want to learn more about our peer counseling program? Access FAQs
Counseling fees are based on an affordable sliding scale and are complimentary for low-income seniors.
