Absolutely incredible. Talent galore. The music, storytelling & a feeling of joy from beginning to end. Shed a few tears along the way. Thank you Rod. And, a big congratulations to the stellar performers & performances!  Congratulations!

Den and I and the entire packed audience LOVED the concert.  Was thrilled when we saw the full house... and that gorgeous set... The song choices were wonderful... and smart.  So appreciated the nod to our challenging and chaotic times with Carousel.  And yes, we so enjoyed her tribute to her dad with Errol Flynn.

You gave The Center for Successful Aging a perfect benefit and role model.  You gave us all an afternoon of entertaining and endearing love songs. Standing in the back of the Luke Theatre and seeing the literal sea of gray hair on the edge of their seats was amazing. Love the 3pm curtain time! Living on a limited budget, I cannot afford to attend such events. The free tickets were a blessing, a gift to us seniors. It was a “memory hug” from our youth. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

OMG! We were all blown away from the very first note! What a performer, and as you said, a storyteller extraordinaire! I’ll be contributing soon. I was moved from laughter to tears. I sat near Paul Stookey from Peter, Paul and Mary – what a thrill!

Thank you KLITE, for giving us such a wonderful experience of hearing Amanda singing! She was marvelous, amazingly talented, entertaining and brilliant! One of the best shows ever! The audience was spell bound by her very special energy, her singing and humorous performance.
- Jane Sieberg

A wonderful afternoon of the classics and newer works, highlighted by marvelous musical artistry, with abundant laughs, a few tears, and fabulous fun. I smiled and sang all the way home.

What a treat it was to experience the shared energy and delight of my fellow audience members at the Amanda McBroom concert!  Amanda’s passion for her work, combined with her talent and wit, was met with exuberant appreciation by those in attendance.  With so much of today’s entertainment geared toward a younger demographic, it was a welcomed surprise and a needed offering for we baby boomers and beyond!  Throughout the concert, I kept thinking of all the low-income seniors in our community who I wished could have been there with us.

I have been a trained volunteer peer counselor with the Center for Successful Aging for several years.  During this time, I have become surprisingly aware of how many seniors in our community are low income.  They are so challenged financially to meet their basic needs, they have no discretionary income to spend on entertainment.  As so many have lost their partners, loneliness and isolation are added challenges.  Music has been proven to have a positive effect on isolation and loneliness. To be able to offer them an opportunity to attend an upbeat and entertaining concert such as this, would certainly provide a welcomed and much needed diversion from their financial and emotional concerns.
